Instructions

  1. Trim any excess fat from the pork shoulder/butt
  2. Coat the pork shoulder/butt with mustard
  3. Apply the rub all over the shoulder
  4. Set the smoker to 275°F
  5. Lay the shoulder directly on the smoker grill
  6. When the internal temp reaches 165°F, place the shoulder in a foil pan
  7. Cut the butter into pieces and add it to the shoulder
  8. Pour the apple juice on the shoulder
  9. Cover the entire pork shoulder with the aluminum foil
  10. Let it sit until internal temp reaches 205°F
  11. Let it rest for 5-10 mins and then pull apart
